I’ve tried to make peace with the fact that my parents and I are completely different people and that we’ll most likely never see eye to eye, but they make it hard to have peace for more than a few days/weeks. They try too hard in all the wrong ways, and I don’t see much hope of that changing any time soon.
Maybe if they’ll finally truly accept that they have to agree to...
Numbing the pain has become a natural reflex over the years, so much do that I don’t notice when I do it most times.
Any time I try to share something I’m doing and/or am interested in with my parents, the response is always feigned interest or positive apathy. But the second I don’t tell them, they’re up my ass about it. They’ve never truly seemed interested in what I do, so I’ve stopped caring about trying to gain their attention.

It’s crazy how you can miss the most simple, annoying things about a person when you’re gone. Absence truly does make the heart grow fonder. Sunday can’t get here soon enough.

I have to be at the airport before 4:15 a.m.
I haven’t started packing.
I haven’t even started the laundry to do my packing.
I haven’t eaten shit all day and I have no real desire to do anything.
I’m excited about Seattle, but I still kind of don’t want to go.
I need a new desktop background.

I got both from eBay.
I have pretty much all the stickers that I’m putting on my Macbook, but I forgot to pick up a bottle of Goo-gone. I’ll make sure I do that whenever I go pick up money from my parents. Today is a good ass day.
I finish winter quarter on March 13 and don’t start spring classes until the 25th. I need to figure out some type of out of town trip or something.
Fuck school.
I just have to make it through these next couple of weeks, then I get to enjoy spring break and hopefully fast track through spring quarter. I’m so burnt out, but I’m at the end of the road.
I don’t consider myself from anywhere. I’m a drifter.

Every time I run into someone from my past, the conversation always turns to what you’re up to/what you’re going to do within the next year or so. For the majority of the people I know it’s always military, marriage and moving away. I’m all for getting out of Ohio, but I feel like I’m pretty much the only person I know who isn’t using the military as a way out....

I go out of town on Wednesday, and I’ve done absolutely nothing to prepare for going. And I probably won’t until Tuesday night because I have to be at the airport at 4 a.m. Procrastination has worked for me pretty well so far.
I feel like I’d enjoy this trip more if it wasn’t a work conference, but I’m pretty sure it’ll be fun either way. The sooner I get...
I keep having to remind myself that it’s Sunday, I have nothing to do and nothing to stress about. I just want to watch anime.

What’s sad is that I need more lol.
I’m in need of a day to myself. With all the constant running around lately, I just want one day where I can be alone and not have to do anything for anyone but myself.
This is why my ass is on birth control. I know this feeling gets worse when you have kids to take care of. I’m too selfish for that shit as this point in my life.
